Get to know HSBC’s online banking services

Known as the local bank of the world, HSBC is a global leader in banking and financial services. According to Forbes magazine, it is the second largest banking and financial services group and second largest public company in terms of compound measures (as of 2011). It has approximately 7,500 offices in 87 countries and territories in Europe, Asia Pacific, Americas, Middle East and Africa. HSBC is a universal bank with four business lines or service lines: Private Banking, Commercial Banking, Investment Banking and Retail Banking. It also offers a range of financial products such as credit/debit cards, loans, insurance and the like.

HSBC allows its customers to conduct banking transactions through its online banking. This service option enables the customer to conduct banking transactions online. These transactions include, but are not limited to, bill payments, money transfers, loan applications, viewing recent bank transactions, and account management. Online banking is aimed at customers with advanced technological preferences and those who cannot transact during regular banking hours. This gives them the opportunity to deal with financial matters directly from home via the Internet, even in the early hours of the morning.

All you need to do is have an account with HSBC to qualify for internet banking. It is also recommended that you use an HSBC supported browser so that you can use Personal Internet Banking and keep your account secure.

To sign up for this banking service, you may need your social security number, HSBC ATM, credit/debit card and PIN. If you don’t have either, your other account information such as your savings/checking, mortgage, home and/or loan account information will suffice, but it will take 5 days to complete registration. This helps you securely verify your identity and gives you instant access to internet banking.

A confirmation email will be sent with your temporary username and password to notify you of access. You can then perform personal internet banking on first access, but will be prompted to change it to your preferred username and password. You will also receive a security key when you first log in to the service.

Internet banking is guaranteed fast and secure by HSBC. It has modified the banking style for different types of customers, introducing internet banking and much more that it has to offer. Surely all you need is to log into the internet and banking is at its best.
