Squeaky door hinges

You can fix the problematic door hinges by spraying on a little WD-40. Alternatively, you can rub the hinges with some petroleum jelly. If these methods don’t work, you can raise the pings of the hinges about halfway and then lubricate them with a small amount of oil. This will fix the problem in a few seconds.

Squeaky floor

If you want to fix the floor temporarily, you can sprinkle some talcum powder on the area that is making the noise and then sweep it into the cracks in the floor. Removing the powder marks is a good idea if you plan to repaint the floor later.

peeling wallpaper

You can use a sharp knife to smear some wallpaper paste on a piece of writing paper. Next, you can rub the paper under the section you want to peel off. Now you should push the wallpaper to the wall, pull out the paper and smooth out the bubbles with a cloth.

Worn cane

Over time, you may experience some sagging, which is natural. If you want to fix the problem, all you have to do is wet the underside of the cane with lukewarm water. Then you should let it dry overnight.

Dusty chandelier

Allow the device to cool down. Put on a pair of gloves. You should wet a glove with glass cleaner. Next you should wipe each of the prisms with the wet glove and then with the dry glove.

Spotted Tub

Create a paste with equal amounts of baking soda and cream of tartar. Now you should add a few drops of lemon juice into the paste and then mix the whole thing. Then you can rub the paste onto the stains with a soft cloth. After about an hour, you should rinse off with water.

Fixed sliding windows

If you have some sliding windows that are stuck, you can use a little silicone spray lube to grease the slide rails. All you have to do is spray the lube onto a piece of rag and then use the rag to wipe the rails. That’s it.

Stickers that are difficult to remove

Again, you can use WD-40 on the decals and the areas around them. You should lift the edges to access the underside of the decals. When you’re done, use a credit card to scrape off each sticker.

slamming door

If you want to soften the slamming doors, you can use some peel and stick weatherstrip on the doorstop. Alternatively, you can use a rubber band around the door knobs on either side. Leave the latch uncovered.

So these are some tips to help you renovate your home and solve the common problems. Hope these tips work for you too.
